Vegan Mofo 2015 #8: Reach Out And Make A New Vegan Friend

I feel pretty slack here. I haven’t been able to catch up with many of the blogs, or other social media, as much as I’d like for Mofo so far. The one day I had a spare few hours to catch up on everything, I sat down only to discover internet connection problems. But I’ll tell you about Mofo from years past! I got to ‘meet’ lots of bloggers around the world and I still read their blogs and we keep in touch that way. I discovered new products, places to recommend to family and friends, new recipes and new fun stuff in general. There are people I’d catch up with in person if I was ever in their part of town.

Now I suppose I did technically reach out to someone today and that someone is Bryan Adams. He’s going to be performing at the Australian Rules Football grand final so I tweeted him about our great vegan food options here. I never know if he’s vegan or vegetarian. Anyways, I went to his 1992 Waking Up The Neighbours concert too. Now I gueeeeess that doesn’t really make us friends but if we were I’m sure it would be all me going hey Bryan, wanna meet up at Loving Hut Northcote? And he’d be like, just you watch me around that southern fried chicken Veganopoulous! Then we’d fight over the crumbs because this stuff is really good.

    • yay! Thanks and I’m really pleased the blog has been helpful! Always stoked to see another vegan Melbourne blogger too!

  1. I am probably going to be pretty slack with this prompt too, but I like how you approached it. I have to say that vegan southern fried chicken looks awesome – i so want to find and visit a Loving Hut.

  2. Hahaha, this made me laugh, Faye. “And he’d be like, just you watch me around that southern fried chicken Veganopoulous!” hahaha I love it. That southern fried chicken though – definitely worth fighting over crumbs for!

  3. Ha I was feeling the same way about this prompt I’m still on the fence about skipping it. Hahaha Bryan Adams! From my neck of the woods! I forget he’s down with animal rights 🙂 Maybe I could dream up my new best vegan friend/crush?

    • The worst thing though is I’ve had Bryan Adams earworms since :/ Which isn’t so bad because he’s alright, but earworms when I’m trying to think of another song aren’t helpful!
